Considering getting one some time in the not so distant future, and would be great to hear any reviews from current owners.

For my job I have to drive on construction sites from time to time so I fee like I need something a little more rugged than my VW Beetle, but don't want a full blown SUV.

    Thanks in advance !

Haven't driven one in a few years, but they do very well in Consumer Reports tests and reliability reports. A little pricey compared to some of their peers, but owners must like them--ever try to find a good used one?

The previous generation had a TINY back seat. That was a dealbreaker for me with a child seat.

I have a 2010 and we love it. I live in the mountains and we have gotten a ton of snow this year and I have had no problem getting to where I need to go on stock tires.

    Good website: Outback

I rented one on a ski trip in 2007 and loved it. My wife is not a fan.

Drove a '98 Outback until about a year ago. Loved it. Got a Honda Element as it works with my bikes a bit better.

Wife just got a 2010 3.6r. I've only driven it twice but am impressed so far. I believe rear passenger space was increased on the 2010 model.

This is the second Subaru we have owned. Never had a single problem with the WRX we had for 9 years.

Yes. The Outback especially is the Lesbian car of choice, even more-so if they have a "spouse" and medically assisted children. Not that there is anything wrong with that sort of thing. The only thing it means is that Lesbians know a quality car when they see it.

My wife wants an Outback. I am starting to worry a bit now.
