OK. I know its a chick flick.

But I just watched A League of Their Own (again) with my wife. If you don't like this movie, you are a big, fat goodfornuthin' loser. Really. You are.

 

That movie is the ****.

I liked it. I am a Geena Davis fan.

 

Geena Davis was sexy.

Hell, even Madonna was sexy in that movie.

 

but Rosie O'Donnell still wasn't

It's in my top ten sports movies.

 

I'm saddened to learn that I am a loser, I already knew I was fat. I was bored when I saw the movie in the theater and cringe if I happen by the end of it on TV. Although Gena was quite fine at that time, I must admit.

I recall one critic saying the movie looked more like a extended trailer for a movie. I couldn't agree more.

Flog me for not much liking the other two popular baseball movies, too. Sappy.

I am not a huge Tom Hanks fan BUTTTTT look at him in this movie and in Saving Private Ryan. He came a long way from Bachelor Party.

 

It's a good sports movie, not really a chick flick, unless you consider it a women's rights type movie. It's just a good story, and based on fact. Entertaining.
Yes, Geena Davis is hot in A League of Their Own, but not as hot as in Earth Girls are Easy.

 

Bachelor Party was a fine, fine movie and great performace by Mr. Hanks. That is all.

 

I've seen Lori Petty at comic-con the last 2 years. she is so "butched" out now, it is hard to believe she is the same girl from LOTO.

 

Butched out? No way.

 

Good sports movie for sure, not a chick flick at all.

I wouldn't consider it a "chick flick" per se. I think that the humor surrounding Tom Hank's jaded cynicism is something that most dudes can appreciate. I see it as a baseball movie with a lot of chicks in it more than anything else. I thought Madonna was an absolute riot in that movie. She is an underrated actress IMO.

Now, I might be in the minority, but I think Laurie Petty is smoking hot in "Tank Girl". She definitely is pretty butchy, and that typically does not appeal to me, but I'm still feeling her in that flick.

Come to Butthead...

What about the movie with Matt Leblonc and the chimp? "Dunston checks into third"?

 

A lot of people I know didn't like it much, but I thought For Love Of The Game was pretty good. And, Augie was in it, so it has that going for it, which is nice.

 

The Natural . . . League of Their Own . . . come on! The Natural is way, way, way better . . . in my opinion of course.
