It's difficult to argue that you're moving to the SEC because you want "to be out from under Texas' shadow," only to then be indignant at the thought of no longer having Texas on the schedule.

All I can think of is that, in the end, it don't make a sh*t.

How quickly do the Ags run dollar bill out of town, once they keep going 6-6 in the SEC and alumni start complaining about no Texas on the schedule?

And the bigger question, will this move help Aggy get thier financial house in order?

another thought, they really are gonna join the SEC and turn right around and say "but we're still gonna play you every year right, big brother?".

They are gonna be sorely dsiappointed - I hope.

I think Dodds knows how handle these turkeys., and I really hope he does.

The egg on Gene Stallings face; Wow! He will have killed thier entire reason for existence.

    Let the beatings begin.

    EP,

Just WOW!!! You say we are arrogant?

It will be a business decision.
If salesman A and B work for the same company we go on sales calls together and even though A makes 70-80% of the sales they split the commision evenly (I know I know revenue sharing and all).

Now B decides it is in his best interest to go to another company selling a competing product. A says bye bye. Good luck.
Now B decides to call A and say, "hey lets still go on sales calls together, you know for old times sakes."

Please explain the incentive for the better salesman to do this?

If the ags want to r-u-n-n-o-f-t, let them. But never give them the satisfaction of facing Texas in any type of sporting event again; unless, of course, they ever make it to a BCS game. (giggle)

UT will look at continuing the series objectively. If it is the best interest of UT, it will offer to do so. If it isn't in the best interest of UT, it won't offer to do so.

The decision won't be about payback or obsessive behavior. It will be a rational business decision.

What if UT was offered a chance to play a home and home series with Notre Dame, tOSU, Michigan or Florida every year for the next 20 years? You'd rather play A&M?

I'd kind of like to keep the game with A&M, but it doesn't matter so much that I would bewail its loss in exchange for a better opponent, and there are certainly plenty of those out there.

I just can't believe they are letting people like Gene Stallings make this big of a decision for the university. When you have a man who publically states "we're not going to coattail with anyone' then rational decision making has left the building.

To have your entire existence built upon ego and your inability to defeat the University of Texas on the playing field year in and year out is sad. I say, good riddance. They are a dangerous opponent solely because of their obsessions and I'd like to stick with teams that are more balanced in their approach to life.
