They remind me of SMU fans in the early 80's, first time to be noticed nationally. (Other than as cockroaches)
the frogs have had their own hand sign for years and years. I have not seen one horns down in Omaha, admittedly I haven't watched all the innings. Of course they talked sh**t in Austin, they beat us, they deserved that. If you can't take that, I don't know what to tell you. I can't imagine them even thinking about Texas while in Omaha, and this is what separates them from OU, Aggy, imo.
Of course they are. The fine people of the great state of Nebraska naturally would love the team that knocked off the Al Qaeda of college sports.
can we host our own cws and make it a quadruple elimination round robin over a 30-day period as it should be............we could make a lot of money
When I get some time I will try to find it. It was a full page ad Saying TCU is on the Move ... to Omaha with the dogpile picture.
The ad was no big deal to me. They ran it in every major paper in Texas, not just the AAS. The dogpile on our logo, planned 3 days in advance, and their fans talking **** to us at the Blatt all weekend forced me to not support them. I went to the game vs UCLA...wearing head to toe Bruins gear bought from one of the shops by Zesto's.
we were in omaha this week. We had several tcu fans ask us what time Texas played. It was a funny joke to them. I told them to enjoy themselves and make sure to take a lot of pictures! Pike
Earlier this afternoon the camera showed a guy holding up a sign that said "LongHORNED FROGS" but the "Long" was cleverly marked out Ghostbusters-style. Safe to say they're still thinking about us. I realize they're excited to be there for the very first time and all, but they don't have to be all aggy about it.
What a Great year for TCU, beat Texas twice in Austin, then down in 8th inning to Fla. State they explode for 8 runs then they beat great UCLA team, now down to one game. Usually a team making their first appearance in Omaha does not do well so be Happy TCU fans, you had a great year.
That comes with being a Longhorn. We have teams that we respect, enjoy watching, and root for - TCU being one, for the most part - But as soon as that team beats us or advances further than we do, they go all Aggy. Will, maybe not all Aggy with inspection stickers and rings, but they do all of the sudden turn cocky. Thats just part of Texas being an elite school/program. I expect TCU to milk their victory over us as long as they can. It's special for them to beat us. I'm still pulling for them.
I'll admit it, I am still rooting for TCU. Their fans may be asses, their players dogpiled on our turff, but so the hell what. The NCAA pulled one hell of a hack job sending TCU to Austin for the Supers. They should have been a top 8 seed. The're proving it now. They came to Austin, beat Texas at home, and now they're coming out of the loser's bracket for a shot at the title series. I say go Frogs!
