HP Officejet all-in-1 stopped printing. it copies, sends/receives faxes. just won't print and loads everything up on a queue. i've deleted it and reinstalled and also downloaded a couple of drivers off of HP's site, even though they didn't look to address this issue specifically. anyone have any ideas? windows vista (i know, i know). HELP!
How old is it? The reason I ask is that printers are so cheap now that it may be worthwhile just to purchase a new one. It could be the Vista software not liking any of the HP drivers you have loaded.
it's only about 2 and 1/2 years old, but i think you might be right. i'd rather not buy a new one, but it is nice to know that they are reasonable just in case.
Remember it isn't the printer that is costly its the ink/toner! I look at supplies cost before I buy a printer. For example, Lexmark has cheap printers but they don't have the print head installed....each cartridge has the print head and that is where your cost comes from.
Get a large ballpeen hammer. Apply liberally to the affected area. Go to Fry's, buy new printer. There, it's fixed.
