I'm working from the house today and since it's slow, I decided to watch the 2008 Texas vs anm game on BevoD. So it's 28-3 late in the 3rd quarter and aggy LB Dixon makes a tackle for a loss. Getting up, he looks towards the Texas bench and does the upside down Doesn't he realize his team is getting spanked, aggy at this point had negative rushing yards, but this clown does some weak smack??
Does this really surprise you? You are talking about a team that talked weak smack in the 4th quarter of a 77-0 assream in Norman.
I don't really hold Jolly's dance against him. It was the only sign of life that aggy showed that day. Also, he doesn't even claim aggy when he is introduced at the beginning of games. He calls out his high school. Good man.
I don't have it recorded, but I distinctly recall in the 2003 game at College Station Reggie McNeal doing the upside down hook 'em while aggy was getting spanked.
Karma got Dixon pretty quickly: on the very next play, McCoy hit Shipley for about a 70-yard pass, and Texas scored a touchdown a few plays later. That was one of my favorite games--probably the most complete Longhorn beatdown of the Aggies in history.
Not really surprised but since I was at the game, I just didn't notice it until now. That and the fact that most the focus was on McGee acting like a little girl when Kindle laid him out.
^^^ Not only did McGee go full wuss after the Kindle hit, he had just talked smack to Gideon the play before.
Earl Campbell would like a word with you regarding the all-time aggy beatdown, and he will be mentioning 1977.
McGee... <shaking head> The video linked doesn't show it but that moron played tough guy chasing after Sergio right up until Sergio turned around stopping McGee in his tracks and then, true to the lil' girl image he demonstrated so often, talks smack as he runs away. I wish Sergio would ran after him just to see how fast McGee would run. Great game to relive.
I loved that 2008 team as much as any other. Sorry to be a downer, but it still makes me sick to my stomach that Texas was ranked in front of OU heading into that weekend and after this game and OU trading touchdown after touchdown with OSU with their ****** defense they still pass us in the polls to rob us of a Big XII title, Heisman for Cotl, and a great shot at a national championship.
After watching those highlights from the '08 aggy game, you realize just how much we missed Brandon Collins last year. The kid was nails for us against tOSU as well.
