I figured it was an episode of Myth Busters trying to prove that a Firebird at maximum speed can cut through a bridge column. Evidently not true. Good solid engineering. Thats what I like to see.
The only reason that son of a ***** isn't lying in a morgue is that his car did almost a 180 midair before he hit the concrete bridge support. If he'd hit it head-on, they'd have picked him up with a sponge.
That shouldn't have happened. Either the guard rail concept is a failure or there was a flaw in the landscaping adjacent to the guard rail.
Looks like he wanted to jump the overpass and just didn't have enough nitrous oxide to do it. Reminds me of Evel Knievel at Snake River Canyon. Lucky fkr at any rate.
