It would be great to see these four playing together in a couple of years; Sara Andrews (#0), Hannah Gusters (#21), Deja Kelly (#25) and Karen Aston (in the background).

Just so much talent in 2020. If I had an in-state only wish list of 5 players (without knowing who we sign for 2019), it would be:

Deja, Sarah, Hannah, DeYona Gaston, and that last slot to maybe some tall wing player like Priscilla Williams or Jordyn Merritt.

Baltimore Sun article on Angel Reese.

    http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/high-school/bs-va-sp-girls-basketball-angel-reese-0714-story.html

Although college coaches cannot contact her directly until Sept. 1, Reese said she already has over two dozen Division I offers, including from perennial powers Maryland, South Carolina and Louisville. She doesn’t want to name any top schools yet, but she said she plans to whittle down her list after her busy AAU season ends in late July.

“I’ll be cutting my list down after I come back from everything, so the first week in August, I’ll have my list ready, but I do have a mental list,” she said recently. “When I think about a few that I would like to go to, I’m looking at Power Five [conference] schools, so I think there are probably about 16 schools that I’m looking at.”

She wants to make her commitment in September of her senior year and sign in November 2019.

Coach Aston posted this in response to a tweet about watching future Longhorns this week (assume they mean Celeste and Sedona):

    On it #longhornhunt #firststopminnesota

For some reason I couldn’t post the actual tweet but back to the point - other than Paige Bueckers, does anyone recall another Minnesota player being recruited or is there a tournament there? I ask because Paige is in Belarus with Celeste.

The Meltdown AAU Tourney is in Minnesota. Two teams of interest to Texas are DFW Elite (Endyia Rogers and Harmoni Turner) and Nike Girls EYBL (Caitlin Clark).

The other two AAU tournaments this week are in Washington DC and Atlanta, Ga.

Next stop DC. Sports City U (Rickea Jackson 2019) and the PhillaBelles (Amari Deberry, Kylee Watson) are in the DC tourney.

Is that an older video, or is Destiny really in DC on a recruiting trip? Inquiring minds want to know, and learn.

Long ways to go with Angel Reese but I expect (hope) we'll make her top 10

Here's another quote from the article that stood out to me:

TheDribbleDrop: If you were to mold your game after a player, who would it be and why?

Angel Reese: I would say Kevin Durant. He’s versatile offensively. He’s a long athletic player that plays inside and out at a high level. He drives to the rim and knocks down jumpers with ease.

Since Angel is from Maryland and likes Kevin Durant, I'm amused by the Tweet from Kelby Jones in response to Kevin Durant.

Daniels sounds like the kind of player who would flourish at Texas.
That's a pretty good top five:

That's cool to be in Daniel's current top 5. We can't match Oregon and Oregon State's proximity, but we are closer to her than UConn. She sounds like a neat kid.
