Yeah, but I just don’t see Texas beating out Baylor for her.
Harmoni certainly taking a different path for a player ranked so highly. Got to respect her decision...Harvard.
Smart decision. Most wbb players aren’t going to make a living playing professionally.
Evidently it’s not SUCH a drastic departure even if uncommon.
Elyssa Coleman took her second official visit this past weekend to San Diego State.
I'm guessing this coming weekend is our BIG official visit weekend, so we'll see if she and/or others are in town.
Interesting that the San Diego State assistant coach hinted at a commit this weekend. I wonder if she’s the player that committed during their visit.
Not sure what's going on with SDSU, but they seem to be in on a lot of kids from state of Texas. Perhaps an assistant coach there has some sort of prior coaching stint in the state.
He’s responsible for it, he has ties to a&m. And this is the tweet that I mentioned.
Maybe. He's been there 6 seasons; but, the head coach played at UT-Arlington and she's been there 7 seasons. Just seems like the last couple of years they've started recruiting Texas kids.
Looks like Sarah Andrews will be on her official to Texas this weekend. She retweeted this from Kelby Jones:
Color me confused. I don’t follow recruits on Twitter - only current players and commits - but this showed up in my timeline a few minutes ago:
It sounds like Sarah already finished her visit.
Celeste's father commented to her to "enjoy your weekend". Maybe she meant "Austin WHAT'S good" ???? Just a guess.
I think you may be right.
Lauren Ware will announce her commitment tomorrow...
My guess would be Arizona or Minnesota.
Hopefully she watched us kill Minnesota the other night
I’m curious to know how much did the coaching change with the post coach play a role in her decision. That’s why I think it’s either Arizona or Minnesota because she really doesn’t have a relationship with Terry Nooner.
Sarah Andrews come on down! We want you here at Texas!
Sarah and I think Sahara Jones on their official visits:
Had just seen a tweet yesterday by Tiffany Jackson that Sahara Jones is her niece; so, figured we'd be in line for a visit.
Lauren Ware has chosen Arizona
Article about Ashley from California Preps (Rivals):
CaliforniaPreps - Sierra Canyon’s Ashley Chevalier is Benihana
Nice article. Like Ashley's attitude. Confident and hard working. Coach Jamie Carey seems to be making an impression. Chevalier said "Coach Jamie from Texas drew me in with her passion, this feeling that together, our energies could win a NCAA title together as a team." Celeste, in the “Get to Know...” segment with Charlie named “Coach Jamie” as her favorite longhorn because Jamie is “intense and energetic”.
Excellent well written article about Ashley! I love her enthusiasm for the game and the mention of National Championships! Exactly the leadership the program needs!
Sure hope we get this one!
Unfortunately, I think she ends up at Baylor. It just makes too much sense. The reigning national champions and big 12 champions for I think 7 or 8 years in a row. On top of the fact that her close friend is also committed there and they also have a hole at the PG position.
Maliyah Johnson visited as well.
Those 4 official visitors are the only ones who I believe we are pursuing for 2020; if anyone knows of any other names, please share.
