Sasha Goforth and Jordyn Merritt are now team mates on CyFair EYBL team and both received invites to U17 National Team trials. Sasha has not visited Texas yet but I am told she talks to them regularly and will be going to Advanced Camp at UT this summer.
awesome! Looking to possibly dropping in at the advanced camp this summer to see some of these players and meet the incoming frosh.
I like Jordyn Merritt, too. She seems to have the ideal size, speed and skills to play small forward in college. Watched her play on TV in the 6A championship game, and she is a very confident player, including from 3-point range. Just seems to do everything well, and is probably versatile enough to slide over (in a pinch) and play a little SG or PF, depending on the defensive matchup. I believe we offered her two summers ago after she attended our summer camp. But, we need a true small forward for 2019! And, if we land Haley Jones or another elite SF for the 2019 class, that could have an effect on Merritt in the 2020 class.
Sarah Andrews and Deja Kelly have been playing together in post-season skill camps. Evidently they have good chemistry. (Can't hurt our chances)

Quite early in the 2020 process, but UT’s class is currently top 2, per AGSR. https://asgrbasketball.com/iowa-state-and-texas-highlight-top-125-recruiting-2020-class-rankings/
A few months ago, @Oakman told us about 2020 standout, Kylee Watson. Thus far, we know she's visited SC, Duke (and maybe Notre Dame). At this point, I'm not certain if we are recruiting her but our coaches follow her on Twitter.
Thanks for sharing. Based on the GameChanger app that Cy-Fair EYBL U17 is using to keep stats, and in case anyone is wondering how hard we should be recruiting Sasha Goforth, after five games she leads Cy-Fair in scoring at 12.8 ppg while shooting 47% from 3 point range, is second in rebounding, is second in steals, and third in assists. And I know from having watched her play many high school games here in Arkansas, she is a great defensive player (length, instincts, and determination) who can guard any position.
