Colt going to the big city was somewhat a surprise until you remember how the Redskins' medical staff totally screwed the pooch with his leg injury. Swaim got some money so he should be ok even if no one picks him up. The Jags needed the cap space and Rhule received some self-gratification by cutting a Longhorn. Of course, Rhule's tenure in Jacksonville isn't on real solid ground.
Speaking of Redskins leg injuries, did you see the E:60 story on Alex Smith and his broken leg. I had no idea it was that bad. Almost lost his leg and now he's looking to make a comeback. There were pictures of his leg that looked like a shark had a field day on it. Amazing story. Best of luck to him.
They just had a baby a few weeks ago after losing three, not a chance on God's earth he should take a chance that he doesn't have to. He also just got his Mom and sister into that new house that is completely accessible for his sister. Marquise is a good man and a great Longhorn. He has been taking care of other people his entire life. He is still doing it. For him, opting out was the only logical thing to do. Congrats on that degree and T-Ring Big Man. Go take care of that baby!
I just came across an ESPN article on it last week. Didn't finish the article because I was feeling too queasy.
Browns QB Garrett Gilbert activated off the reserve/COVID list after only 2 days following 2nd straight negative test
Chiefs are having one of the better post-Title offseasons in a while. Usually teams get worse afterward because you have 40 guys all thinking "I played a part in winning a Super Bowl so I should get more playing time and more money" even though the total amount of time and money available stays the same (ok, the cap might go up a little bit).
All of the "on the list off the list and returning" players in baseball and football should be a great rebuke of those beating the "they're all going to die" drum of returning to camp/competition/games crowd, but, alas, relevant facts and news is not allowed in the debate. Only a few are noted here...Longhorns....but the complete list is L O N G....real long...both college and pro in football especially.
