String of three road matches upcoming. If we can keep this momentum, I’m excited. Trinity didn’t score in either game but of the six goals it wouldn’t surprise me if she was a key part of four or five of them! She is contributing and making others around her better. We scored six goals (all second half?) this weekend. And we hit the crossbar a handful of times too. Current shutout rate is 380 minutes. Unbeaten since the second game of the season against a #1 UNC.
1-1 draw tonight at ISU. Well, it wasn’t a loss. Lexi was back in action (and assisted on a Byars goal) so that’s good. But can’t think that leaving Ames with a tie against a winless big 12 team is the result we wanted. We had like over 20 shots but only three were on target. Let’s figure it out Ang! This is starting to feel like last season, which ended pretty disappointingly.
Regular season champs (at least co) with one more match to go. Took care of business today at OSU. But it looked really tight right there at the end. Let’s take care of business to end the regular season and then kick butt in the conference tournament!
Big 12 Champs (outright) for the first time since 2001! Wins 3-1 over OU. Plays KU on Sunday and then would play WVU-OSU winner on Thursday!
So happy for these women (and Angela Kelly and staff). They’re so happy celebrating the championship. Hopefully this puts us in contention for a maybe a national seed. It could happen. Let’s take care of business in the tourney!!!
4-0 over KSU. I tuned in late and Texassports.com scared me showing the live stats the opposite initially. But seems like a good game. Transition game could be an area of focus. Next match against WVU/OSU which is tied at halftime.
Trinity is offensive POY and only unanimous first team we. EmJ is DPOY and first team. Ang is COY. Lexi is also a first teamer. Jilly and Emma make second team. Biggest joke is that apparently coaches think there are four GK that are better than Madden.
First round hosts are top 32 I believe in soccer. That's still in play. RPI sits us there. Our ranking will fall a bit in the poll, but it was right at 17. Combine that with other results from other conferences and it's messy. But yeah, not expecting a top 4 national seed.

Texas loses to Puke 0-1, giving up at goal at 87 minutes, which occurred 40 seconds after a Texas corner kick. Must have been heartbreaking.
Do y’all think coach Kelly is retained? I personally believe the big 12 championship saved her but next year she definitely has to do something in the tournament worth celebrating or CDC will go find another coach.
If CdC didn't make a change 3 or 4 years ago but barring a change in personality, he will not make a change after winning the Conference and their first playoff game.
She’s safe. She’s got momentum. Keep her at least through Big 12 conclusion. Bigger question is opportunity cost. Who could/would come? When the SEC change happens that’ll be a whole new ballgame. Gotta look at the direction of recruiting and transfer portals.
