^Good point, 6721. I could certainly support DeSantis. I will support the GOP nominee regardless. Again, my fear is that Trump on the ballot would energize the Democrats to get out the vote against Trump.
Frankly, I don't see how the Democrats can win on their own merits in 2024. If Biden wants the nomination, they have two losing choices - (1) nominate Joe and watch the voters reject him based on his record or (2) deny him the nomination and try to defend their record while repudiating a sitting POTUS. And if Biden chooses not to run, who do they have that they can nominate? If Joe bows out and Kamala wants the nomination, they face the same Hobson's choice - (1) nominate her and watch the bloodbath or (2) toss her aside and try to find a viable candidate while trying to defend their record of the last four years.
Things can change in the next two years, but the Democrats are certainly digging themselves into a huge hole. IMO, the election is there for the GOP if we don't screw it up.
