That's what I'm hoping for. Since he and Guilbeau want to be a package deal UT makes sense. Anderson had no interest in tcu and Gilbeau wasn't being recruited by aggie.
Good for the kid. Must be a dream come true. But don't we need to preserve scholarships for the higher ranked recruits? I guess the kid has upside. What is it that the coaches like about him? Are we reaching for players? Seems like we have a lot of recruits interested in the horns.
On RB Jaydon Blue, 247 saying the team captains at Klein Cain voted unanimously on not letting him return to the team, so he will need to transfer quickly if he wants to play his senior season. Jaydon Blue, Klein Cain, Running Back
I get your reasoning, and like seeing a bunch of four and five star guys signing up, but I don’t necessarily agree here. Eoghan was a good offer. He’s also a bigger LB that could play a number of positions. As far as higher ranked LBs, I bet Showtime Sherman (zero stars) ends up a better college player than any other LB on our radar. Rivals (dated) opinions are one thing, film is another (as is nose for the ball, instincts, ridiculous acceleration, and closing speed). Think Jesse Armstead without baggage.
I would think playing time as a Senior would be good preparation to play for the Texas Longhorns. But it’s his life…. It’s his Senior year to skip. Nobody else’s.
May be a good thing that he's learning that the world doesn't revolve around him and that his choices have consequences. Might help him be better prepared when he gets to UT.
So is “The Footwork King” still a major talent broker in today’s recruiting world? (It changes so fast)
