Per 247, OL Neto Umeozulu of Allen is in constant contact with coaches, Flood, Banks and Gilbert.

He's taken notice of the class Texas is building and says he speaks with WR Evan Stewart (Frisco Liberty) a little bit, and talks Texas with OL Connor Robertson (Austin Westlake).

His family is starting to plan spring trips, and Texas is on the list.

DE Omari Abor of Duncanville told 247 that Texas is one of the schools recruiting him the hardest right now with it being a group effort between Sark and coaches Kwiatkowski, Banks and Gilbert.

Worth noting that Gilbert is close with Coach Samples of Duncanville.

Abor says Texas is a school that will get an official visit down the line.

IT reported recently that Sark was the first head coach to contact ATH Ish Harris from Pilot Point, and the only other head coach he speaks with currently is Fisher from A&M.

Texas wants him in the same role as Overshown.

A little anecdote on Sark's recruiting...he called one of Pilot Point's assistant coaches during snow week to check on him, and it left a great impression.

"Shades of Mack", as IT put it.

Hutson's father told IT it was a "really strong visit" to UT over the weekend.

Texas is making him a priority.

    cnb,

Any clue on Golden's speed? Film looks good, but there are HS teams in Houston that I might still be able to "go long" against. Do you have access to 40 or 100 times?

No, but if I did, my 40 time would be measured in hours.

    ^I can beat that - I run the 40 in 4-2 (4 minutes and 2 seconds). :(

Would the clock keep running or would it stop when I took a rest break at the 20 yd mark? That makes a big difference.

Do they allow you to use a walker when you run your 40 now-a-days?

Last time I did a 40 (last summer), I ended up getting a medial AND lateral meniscus repair. He said he didn't need to repair my partial mcl tear.

Evan Stewart has decommitted. Saban wants him bad. His family favors Bama.

    Yep...saw this earlier.
Will be one to watch, but odds are low now.
Tough break for the good guys (everything about Evan screams college success)...though we have others in the pipeline.

Wasn’t his commitment fairly recent? I get confused keeping up.

Not that anyone does or should remember I've said several times committing so early in the process just gives the player that much more time to second-guess their decision. I never count on any recruit until they put pen on paper.

As mentioned previously. We have several head to head battles with bama looming. It's going to test our coaching staff for sure.

Gives me a little cause for worry about Owens.
But then again everybody will always be stealing other's recruits which includes us.
