That is really cool. The name Adonai means My Lord in Hebrew. Does anyone know the story behind his name? I have never seen that name used before.
Our children's names are Asa, Scarlet Noel, Ezekiel, Moses, Noah Grace (a girl), and Ephraim. ...never thought of Adonai. I'll put it on the list for the next one LOL

This was in fact the name of the Doctor in Austin who performed my vasectomy some 23 years ago. No kidding.
Our nephew's favorite name of all time is Dick Butkus. Har hars every time he hears or thinks of it. Of course he pronounces it "Buttkiss"...he never saw Dick play football...NOBODY ever laughed @ Dick on the football field...or if they did, they only did it once.
My wife's OBGYN for our first baby was Dr HARRY BEAVER. Thankfully his partner was at the hospital when she went into labor so that wasn't on the birth certificate.
My wife and I travel in some...nowadays...pretty counter-cultural circles. Most of these people are deeply devoted to God, put great emphasis on alot of old school values, virtues, and convictions, and would be considered pretty conservative (not speaking politically) against the backdrop of our modern culture. Oh, and most have LOTS of kids. We occasionally congregate with these "like-minded" families for various purposes. So, on a particular occasion one evening we were convening to worship, hear some teaching, recognize some of the children's accomplishments and enjoy performances... And I started looking around that huge room at all of the very conservatively dressed and well-mannered people and leaned into my wife and said: "Hey baby, you know what is funny? (I motioned to all the people in the room and ourselves). What if the truth is all these very righteous folk here who show such great care for all things good and holy and have all these kids just really like to have lots of sex"!?
Not as bad as a VP at the company I worked for: Dick Fieller. I kid you not and he actually used the nickname of Dick. I would have chosen anything over that.

Yeah, that is a WOW for sure. His parents should have been smart enough to stay from a name like Richard that would / could get shortened to Dick... especially with THAT last name. Oh well.
