Guess with 2023 players starting to go on unofficial OVs, it's time to start the 2023 thread.
Sammie Wagner was back on campus this weekend.
Not sure if she is 2023, but close:
Looks like Jalynn is 2023.
Samantha Wagner with a big night. She has a well rounded game. Glad she is on our radar.
Pretty sweet game for Samantha. Glad she's looking at how to improve her game.
Oh my. I just did my calculations. Are 2023 players currently in the 8th grade?
I can't keep up with my grocery list much less WBB recruiting for next 3-5 years
Samantha Wagner at the Baylor-UConn game.
Just saw this tweet about Sug from Texas WBB, and noticed the one comment at the moment, from Jada Williams, a 2023 PG from Missouri. Jada seems to be followed by the Texas WBB staff.
Looks a little like Brooke!
Jada is already heavily recruited and she's just an 8th grader. Here's another Tweet between her and Sug.
I agree with you @GameOfHorns , Jada does resemble Brooke
Including the bun!
A May 2018 article on Jada Williams.
This Kansas City seventh-grader already has two Division I basketball offers
Jada camped at UT this past summer, plays for the same AAU team as Sug (Missouri Phenom) that’s coached or was coached by Sug’s dad.
Hope Jada stays on course, and that perhaps her connection with Sug will lead her to sign with Texas. Her skill set looks well beyond her years.
For those fans in Houston that could get a first hand look at Sammie Wagner and others. Sammie and a host of others were at the Louisville game versus UConn.
This should be an interesting event to go to.
Long way to go but Samantha Wagner committed to Baylor:
(Dislikes are perfectly understandable.)
She's been retweeting everything Baylor for a while now. Not surprised.
From the photos, it appears Sammie and her family have been BU fans for many years. Although, Sammie attended a few of our games I assume she's been a Baylor lean for a while. She's a graduating 8th grade so there may be some twists and turns in her commitment as her senior year approaches. Even when 8th graders commit to Texas, I expect a little drama before they reach their Sr year.
Doesn't Sammie have an older sister that plays basketball?
