Kirby is just a Saban clone. He is an exceptional defensive coach and like Saban has serviceable offense. Binder boy got lucky a few years back in Kirbys first year. We do not have an elite offense YET and we have a very suspect defense. We have talent on D no doubt. We have lacked premier lb for many years now but Hill is a change for the better. Overshon was undersized but made up for it with speed. Hope he makes a fantastic Cowboy!!!

Up to 20...unless they are amputees. They can actually count a little higher if they are polydactil.

Ole Polly Dactil was extremely popular back in the day!

Gotta disagree on this. I thought that by mid season last year the D was pretty good, and at times dominant. I expect an even better unit this year.

From what I see and read, we’re 3-deep with talent on the line (Murphy is a stud, and if Collins finally finds his groove, look out) and very deep in the secondary, with some elite or near elite players. True, we lack experienced depth at linebacker and the one guy that has to stay healthy is Ford. There is depth at the position, but they are very young. Of course, we lack an elite edge, but the consensus seems to be that we can overcome that deficiency to a great extent with creative scheming.

Let’s see how they look starting at 6:00 Central on September 9th.

I agree with every point, with my opinion on LB.
Overshown is gone. But Ford will be even more polished, as will Gbenda. There is an Ant Hill- Kindle and Johnson were starting LBs as freshman and were good.
A full year of Pete’s D scheme will help and the quality DBs will help the D line.
I’m really not concerned about the D.

Even without drinking the burnt orange kool-aid, looking at our roster, we really should have a good season. We will definitely have a chance to win every game. We might go sideways in one or two games but we will have a chance to win in the fourth. We ain't going to be no 8-5 or I will do something crazy like eat my hat or get married.

Is there a player that n the top 300 that Bama hasn’t offered?

    NR,

There are "offers" and then there are "OFFERS". Alabama extends close to 400 if not more "offers" a year. The number of "OFFERS" is significantly less.

There is a service that tracks and publishes the number of "offers". Even schools like UVA, South Carolina, Kansas extend over 200 "offers".

Five-star ATH Terry Bussey of Timpson has scheduled a Texas official for June 24th, according to IT.

He's still being recruited at DB.
The gags are selling Bussey on offense, so he likes that.

IT had a little info on him today and they said he's interested in Texas, but doesn't appear to be a fan of the recruiting process overall so it can be hard to read him.

He has some OK State ties, but they didn't make his Top 10.

“I’ve heard a lot about the (Texas) facilities and the coaching staff,” Okoye tells Inside Texas. “I want to see if it lives up to the hype. I also want to hear how they think I would fit into the defensive scheme and how they would build my NFL potential.”

On3 is holding a recruiting event in Nashville this week.

Hamilton of IT says there is talk up there that Manning is making a pretty good recruiting pitch to five-star WR Ryan Wingo of St. Louis, MO about life on and off the field in Austin.

His official to Texas is on June 17th.

Baker plans on getting back to Texas before making a decision, and had this to say:

“Offensive line play, development, the coaching staff. They have Kelvin Banks, Devon Campbell, a couple five-stars from the 2022 class that are all great people. Coach Flood is a guy for sure who has been down from ‘Bama and coached a ton of guys. That’s something I didn’t really know until I got down there.”
