It was my understanding that the home team(OU this year) is the only team who can host visits during the game. Is that no longer the case? Or, is ‘being there’ potentially as a guest of Oklahoma? I hope my information is outdated like a growing part of my knowledge base.

You are correct OU can host visitors. The others likely going on their own dime.

All will be visitors of oklahoma as they can "host" for the game. It's a free ticket so why not.

Quote from WR Micah Hudson of Lake Belton after the OU game, per IT:

“Coach (Steve) Sarkisian is calling some good plays,” Hudson told Inside Texas at the half. “Quinn (Ewers) is putting the ball in the right spot.”

“I came as an OU recruit because that’s the only way I could get here,” said Hudson, the On3 No. 2 wide receiver in the Class of 2024. “But I walked over to the Texas side now and with the Texas fans.”

This is already the 3rd player I've seen say they came as an OU recruit because that was the only way to get there. OU must really feel like **** knowing half their recruits came to see Texas play and not OU. :ousucks:

Good move. He can be at next year’s game too when Texas hosts. Smart guy.

I am certain that they did usher out the recruits as the meltdown unwound in the 2nd half. Wish Texas could have been the host school. Hope that result was enough to at least open the eyes of a few recruits we would all like to have. I find it somewhat ironic that the kid from Lubbock that committed to ou, flipped to Texas and then back to ou was not playing. I think he would have played for us.

Are you referring to Billy Bowman? He is from odessa (I think) and he was injured

    Legend,

OU had what appeared to be recruits & parents in lower section of (I'm guessing) Section 30. In the midst of that sea of Crimson were two parents wearing Burnt Orange t-shirts. In the fourth quarter they were still there.

Anyone have any idea whose parents they were?

Bowman is from Denton, same HS as JT Sanders, I believe. LL is referring to a linebacker from last year's recruiting cycle. Decommitted form OU when Riley left, committed to us, then decommitted from us and went back to OU when they hired Venables.

Now thats awesome to have parents there with UT shirts. I am shocked any of them stayed past the 3rd qtr. From what little the tv showed, the ou end of the stadium was very thin during the 4th qtr.

About 80% of recruits were sitting there in a sea of silver aluminum.

Bowman was Sanders team mate in HS. Was committed to us at one time.
