2025 Softball Season

Softball America has its 2025 top 100 players list out. Texas had 6 on the list along with UCLA. OU, Okie lite and Florida all had 5 selected.

Love to see it! Def think Citlaly could’ve used some recognition here, but no doubt the girls are only going up from here.
 
Cam Salmon made the top 100 D1Softball watch list. Not sure of the ranking position. It’s behind a pay wall! Great shot of her! She looks like she is ready to take on the world!!

Really excited to watch her play from what I’ve seen of her before, she’s got a ton of confidence
 


That gives them 5 pitchers. Noted that Patti didn't pull in any superstar pitcher transfers this last cycle. And looking over their staff, none of the names I see make me nervous if/when we face them.

NIL spreading of the wealth has leveled the pitching field.
 
It appears we have a very early morning game against Longwood in the ULL classic tournament on Feb 7.
Hopefully we get a complete schedule this week!

When it was announced Texas and OU joining the SEC, two thoughts entered my mind:
1. Now the SEC gets to face the "fun" of facing OU every year (not exactly as it turns out) every year
2. I hope the high quality SEC is enough to "wear down" OU so they are weaker heading into the post-season

(of course #2 would apply to us as well!)

Cam Salmon makes the Softball America freshman top 100 watch list. As in the D1 Softball listing there is no ranking. Just a list of the top 100 Freshmen to watch! Texas softball seems to think very highly of her based on in their comment “remember the name” and “watch out for this one!”

Has anyone tried piecing together our non-conference schedule based on the official schedules of other teams? I tried but got frustrated.

I appreciate the updates provided here on a few of our non-conference games, but didn't see a consolidated list of confirmed games and dates.
 
Are you all referring to the scrimmage schedule? If yes, do you think if someone requested the scrimmage schedule in X or Instagram to the Longhorn team, maybe someone within the team will post it? :hookem: Don't suggest me to do this. Next to using Tiktok, this is my next most used platform. :rolleyes:

Thanks for those updates.

That schedule surprises on so many levels. Coach White was not been happy in past seasons when inclement canceled February games in Austin. Lots of risk with that this schedule, plus Spring Break in Columbus, OH even moreso.
