It also doesn’t help that we have a pitcher who gets zero use in the dugout

for reference by the end of the fourth inning Kavan has thrown 80 pitches. LSU’s pitcher has thrown 40.Right after I say this LSU’s pitcher throws an 8 pitch inning
The fact that our freshman pitcher has zero experience what so ever. Last year having four different pitching looks was beyond helpful, this year having three, one of which who is eating a ton of the innings hasn’t been helping us.
I figure if you’re playing your infield in to cut a run at the plate it’s not a good idea to take a backward step when fielding the ball.

Yeah I absolutely agree. Feels like always around this time of the year something isn’t right with them, and I don’t know why when they’re beyond capable of consistency

I was at the game and was furious that Mitchell got plowed into with no penalty. Watching the replay with Megan Willis and she said that she saw LSU actively practicing that crash in a game last weekend in order to try to draw an interference call to advance to second base. Then, I screenshot the moment the LSU runner was eyeing Mitchell in order to slam into her. Dirty play by LSU:

It's time for Leighann Goode to come out of her slump. She is 0-11 in her last 4 games. 0 for 8 against Tennessee and 0 for 3 against game 1 LSU. She's due today I'm predicting.
I DO NOT understand why Coach White pinch hit Brister for Cimusz yesterday. Katie had gotten a hit, one of only 6 for the day, her last at bat?? Brister fouled 6 balls off, all OUTSIDE OF THE STRIKE ZONE during her at bat. She finally made contact, on a pitch outside the zone, for a easy ground out? She looked terrified during her at bat on a close up of her on TV. Not sure if Coach Singleton makes the batting adjustments or Coach White?? This one left me shaking my head????

That got confusing, but Mike and Steve also got confused. It was a case of musical chairs in the definition of the DP as well as replacement of Brister for Bennett due to errors at second.
