    well. hate to be a dick or anything. but redfish and black drum are in the same family. when paul prudhomme's blackened craze decimated the redfish population, restaraunts substituted black drum. blackened or fried, few would notice the difference.

    and, at risk of being even a bigger dick, catch and release is the way to go.

    goo is well w/in his right to keep the fish. and he ate thefish, i see nothing wrong w/ this.

    tpwd put limits on reds and bull reds. if they saw redfish stock depleting, i'm sure they will reduce the limit.

    and i stand by my earlier comment. bull reds taste like ***. well, i don't know what *** tastes like, but i imagine it tastes like bull reds.

    The redfish population is quite healthy. I have stood on the bow of a bay boat and seen a pod making a dash under the boat for the open water. Musta been over a hundred of them, all over 30". Beautiful sight.
    Lat, that was pretty damn funny.
