Anybody have an extended warranty for their vehicle through a 3rd party company? What has your experience been like? My dealer wants an insane amount to cover me to 100K miles so I want to shop it around unless these companies are shady. I'm at 45K now and my original factory warranty is up at 50K.
uh yeah...dealer's make alot of money selling warranties...AND...guess what!? They are most likely just selling you a 3rd party warranty. Something you can just buy on your own. I have one for my dodge dakota thru Warranty Direct. I've never had to use it but I've heard that WD is pretty reliable. The Link
I'm on my second extended warranty with Warranty Direct. Paid for itself a couple times over with my last car. Good reputable company. My mechanic says they're the only warranty company he's had a good experience with.
