... Will Muschamp & Greg Davis. It's time for me to help my friends at the Austin Sports Commission pimp their annual luncheon to kick off the football season. The 3rd Annual Texas Gridiron Kickoff presented by USA Football will take place at noon on Thursday, August 5th at the Austin Convention Center. The event has two parts; the first half is dedicated to high school football in Central Texas. Members of the 2010 Austin American Statesman Preseason All-Centex Football Team will be in attendance. The second half of the luncheon is dedicated to UT football. Ron Franklin does a "fireside chat" with Mack Brown, Greg Davis and Will Muschamp. It's always a great first look at the upcoming season. It's great event to attend just for fun, or to entertain clients who are football fans.
Went to that the first year . . . Frankly, the summer event in the link below with Mack and the assistant coaches is a much better deal (it's free) and access to the coaches is much more open. Go right up and talk with Will and Greg and Major and Dwayne, et. al. We've done it the last two years in a row. This will be the third year we (and a bunch of our Longhorn friends) have gone to it. It's next Monday in San Antonio: Mack And Assistants in San Antonio on Monday, July 19th If it's not inconvenient to go down to San Antonio in the late afternoon on Monday, it's a much more enjoyable (and much less expensive) experience than that luncheon in Austin.
