The Maryland game is set for 11 am kickoff on Sept. 1 on FS1 The Tulsa game will kickoff at 7 p.m on Sept. 8 and will be on LHN. Also, the ou game will be on either Fox or FS1 this season, with a probable kickoff time of either 11 am or 2:30 pm.
5 I've always heard the networks have total discretion as to start times. It's part of the deal for all the money they pay for broadcast rights. Is that not correct?
Theoretically, yes, but not always. The issue when Terry Holland told ABC to stick it up their *** because campus groups had made plans for Parents Weekend, and he would not disrupt those just because ABC wanted it to be. Deloss had a lot of stroke with ABC, and ABC owed him. We'll see how CdC does, but his predecessors, as well as a succession of moronic presidents, have grabbed their ankles every time television executives call.
