A young DKR...............

    I've seen that photo of DKR before.

    His parents were from Texas but they moved to OK prior to his HS days. After serving in WWII, he played QB, DB and Punter at ou in the days when players had to play single / one platoon football (both ways).

    DKR played at ou post-war between 1946-1949 when my Dad was a student at UT. Tom Landry played for UT in those days. DKR earned AA status. That young boy is his son David.

    I think the boy is Mack, rather than David. IIRC, Mack was born in 47, but was out of OU, maybe 5-6 years after Mack
