It will be interesting to see the new treatment of the story. What will they alter from the original? Will the same old thing work a second time?
Spoiler alert... the aliens are bad guys. Why would anyone want to watch this crap again? Well, except now you get stupid alien invasion story in high-def.
People that we talked to at Comic Con said the first episode is pretty good, we didn't get to see it but I heard good things. Not sure they had seen/heard of the original though. I'm too young to have seen it
Wait...I just remembered that Freddie Krueger was in the original series as well. I'll watch the new one of course...I'm a sci-fi geek.
I was about 8 or 9 when it first came out, and I remember loving it back then. Then, this one day in the recent past I was scanning the offerings on the cable box and saw it on the SyFy channel and decided to reminisce. That was a mistake. It was awful, and in retrospect, a perfect show for that POS channel.
nothing beats the birth episode of the half alien in the original series and michel ironside as the rebel leader wanting to kill all aliens, that old mini-series was sweet cheese.
I'm definitely planning on watching this series. I'll pretty much watch anything that someone from LOST is in. Except for Vampire Diaries, saw it at Comic Con and it was bad.
Well, this first episode at least really takes socialist revolutions to task. The mention of Universal Health Care was one of my favorite lines. Could this be the first series in the entertainment world to call Emperor Obama naked? Of course if this turns out anything like BSG, sometime next season good guys and bad guys/gals will be completely flipped.
I saw the original series. I skipped episode1, but decided to watch episode 2 because of all the parodies about the Obama administrations. I didn't see a damn thing in 2. It's like an ABC reunion for Lost cast members. Doubt if I'll watch any more.
