In other words, nobody at even Belmont finds out when Patterson tells Jed Hughes (in NY?) to have his people in LA (Robert Damon?) drive out a few minutes to have a coffee with Mora somewhere in LA, they have a teleconference over coffee, fix up the numbers, they fly Mora in to visit the benign search committee which asks him of his views on global warming and gender equality in sport and reports to Patterson that they have determined him to certainly not be an axe-murderer, 3 hours following which they introduce him as the new coach.... Sounds like a good plan. Patterson seems like he has stepped up his game. Or a similar thing with Gruden or Shaw or whoever. Of course, I am just making it up, and mean no offense to anybody. Actually I don't even mind it being done this way, as long as that is how we can really land a top coach without the BS that was going on about coaches like Saban, instigated by various people who shouldn't have anything to do with whoever the AD hires as our coach.
