IIRC, the trivia question during the Nebraska game asked about the highest finish ever for a freshman in the Heisman voting. I immediately knew the answer was Adrian Peterson who finished 2nd as a true freshman in 2004. To my surprise, the answer was a 3-way tie among freshman who finished 3rd. One was Herschel Walker, and I can't remember the other 2, but neither was Adrian Peterson. Was I way off base here or does AFLAC not know what hell they are talking about? Sorry if this has already been discussed in a previous thread.
I saw that too, and yes, they were wrong. There are plenty of posts on message boards commenting on this. Funny how the question was implying that UNL's freshman QB could end up in that mix. I guess the Texas D put an end to that talk. You don't get many votes when you coach pulls you for poor performance in the most important game of the year up to that point.
The three they had listed were: 1. Clint Castleberry, RB of Georgia Tech in 1942 2. Herschel Walker, RB of Georgia in 1980 3. MIchael Vick, QB of Virginia Tech in 1999 I was shocked when they didn't have AP as No. 1 and felt like it was a mistake.
