Question for Aggie fans: do you recall any dunks by Texas players within a few seconds of the end of a blowout?

I don't. I recall seeing DJ, etc. just dribble the game out, though. It's pretty much the way our guys do things. Maybe you can find an example to the contrary, but I doubt it.

    From BaylorFans.com & a Baylor fan:

What REALLLY happened. Baylor, A&M, and old guy!

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright so I was right behind the whole, "ball being thrown on the court and aggie ejected situation". But here's what really happened.....

During the Diene technical foul thing, a Baylor student threw the ball onto the court. When people below him looked up to see where the ball came from, there were 2 aggies sitting between them and this Baylor student. One of the girls who looked up pointed at the Aggies and said, "hey I think they did it". Everyone who saw her point also pointed at these Aggies at the same time. The two aggies were looking around and wondering why they were getting blamed.

At this time, an old bald man decided to get up in the ags face and speak his mind. Another big aggie came up and got in this old man's face and thus an officer came up into the stands. When everyone around this argument told the cop that the two aggies threw the ball on the court, they were pulled out and escorted. At this time, the Baylor student who actually did throw the ball - went over to his friends' and was laughing, high-five'n and joking with all his friends. (I'm gonna lie, I was doing the same thing with my friends).

Anyways, that's what happened. A girl who was sitting in front of me, found that Baylor student after the game and was chewing him out in the hall.

So, THAT's the story. I tried to tell it as un-biased as I could.

I'm saying that it was an emotional game...from the lack of fouls called & physical play to the Baylor cheerleader pushing Davis to the screen that leveled Carter and resulted in a little skirmish and t's for each team to to the T that was called on Dunn for pushing Sloan down to the crap being thrown on the floor 3 times and the repeated fouling (just as they did last year) when the game is out of reach and there is 45 seconds left. I have no problem with an exclamation dunk to end an emotional game. I'm sure you'd be complaining if this was James or someone like that who had did that.

Just another reason why I hate aggy. Absolutely embarass this fine state every chance they get. From squeezing nuts on national television to celebrating a "tradition" that got many of their own students killed, aggy is eternally clueless, loathsome and full of closet racism.

The groupthink mentality by aggy is scary....like Branch Dividian scary.

Yes, I would be embarassed if any Texas player did that. I'm sure Barnes would be, too. But that's difference of having an elite program, and a bush league one.

You just don't do that in basketball. You just don't. It's not hard to understand.

Ok..first off -- is anybody surprised? Isn't this the same team that jacked up a last second three against Tech when up by 500? Yeah, Turg was REALLY mad at that. SO much so that his team throw down a dunk against Baylor a week later.

    Fact -- that is classless.

Fact -- Add that in to the 'McCart' jokes and you've got trend of jackasses.

Instead of 'holding the rope' and blindly defending anything your school does, how about you man up and say "yeah, that was ******..." You don't get more points for defending idiotic behavior simply because they're fellow ags. Be a man about it.

    Now..for the more important point.

Why are Baylor fans and aggie fans fighting about this on a Texas website? I feel like Steve the bouncer on jerry springer getting in between two in-bred dumb fucks trying to prove who's the bigger idiot.

Aggy is as aggy does. Is anyone surprised? Was it really just 9 or 10 weeks ago when one of their ice cream boys was humiliating himself (I know, redundant) by shouting that Joe Paterno needed to be buried and that he had one foot in the grave? From celebrating the injury of the opposing players to screaming 'beat the hell outta' during a somber moment of silence to flinging poo to attacking people for walking on their "magic" grass...it just goes on & on. The one thing we know for certain is that this isn't the last stupid, embarassing thing aggy will do.

And major props to Prodigal for working in a sweet Bull Durham reference during his back & forth with the aggy poster.

I didn't see this clip. However, IMO it's like running up the score. If it bothers you, quit playing that team or do something about it.

I don't specifically recall a Barnes team doing it, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

I recall JL3 facilitating one against Texas several years ago... but that was at home.

I just don't see it as that big a deal. If Baylor and A&M want to get worked up over it, have at it. Build yourself a little rivalry fire.

It's one thing to make a defensive play, get a breakaway as time runs down and lay it in or even dunk it, but for the other team to have quit playing, to cherry pick at the other end of the court and then throw it off the backboard on a dunk. That is classless. Worse than that, it's bad karma. Just remember that dunk when something heartbreaking happens.

It never ceases to amaze me that no matter how many times UT students/fans claim that they don't care about A&M, there always seems to be a multitude of threads on UT messageboards about the Aggies -- often times more threads about A&M than about Texas.
