Worster: was that pic above taken after the aggy - TTech game in Lubbock a few years back when the tech students tore down the goalposts and toted them out of the stadium? That was hillarious!! A buddy of mine at the game said the students carried the posts away and a campus cop stopped traffic to let them cross the street. Cool if true!

Yes, it was an after game street fight, damn near a riot between drunk and rowdy Tech fans and aggy that day. Tech was gloating, tore down the goal posts and shoved them into the stands where some aggy were still sitting.

The 'GAP Kid' was later identified after the game and some of our HF posters had some kind of contact with him, reported on it here and I believe a few posters stayed in touch with him for a while. That was a long time ago so my memory might be a little off - anyone correct me if needed.

I seem to recall someone posting a Gap kid update with a pic of him several years ago. He'd be in his early 30s now.

Wasn't that the game when the old aggy Mark Somebody who was the atm president or regent or something was swinging his binoculars and pushing TT students in the stands to keep the gp out of the stands?

 

Yes, that's kind of what I recall... think Mark's last name was McKenzie or McKinney?
