He's still a handful for defenders. No one is better in the world at finding gaps behind a backline and finishing 1-on-1. That's not hyperbole, he really is a lethal 1-on-1 finisher. He also has tremendous pace for his size. It'll be interesting to see how he'd co-exist with Drogba when he gets back.
RVN is a better poacher, but I'd still take Anelka over him as far as getting behind a backline and going 1-on-1 with a GK. RVN just doesn't have the pace Anelka has to do it with regularity.
