So, who are the TV announcers that are just really hard to listen to and seem to add little if anything to the game except their 'own' self proclaimed expertise... How about Danielson and Gumbel for starters
Herbie... Dude latches onto a phrase and repeats it continuously throughout the broadcast. For the Texas/ASU broadcast it was "ridiculed".
brent musberger. i like hearing him but understand a lot don't like him. you are looking liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive............ par'dner
Mike Patrick Brent Mussberger Brian Baldinger Dan Fouts doing play by play retired Pat Summerall but still doing games
I like listening to Mike Patrick because you never know when he will throw in a pop culture reference in the middle of overtime.
I would rather listen to Brent and Herb call a game before I would ever listen to Joe Thiesmann. the douche of douches.
this thread begins and ends with one name : petros papadakis. if you have not experienced him doing a game (or god forbid his la radio show), then i envy you.
and while we're on the subject, let's talk about "analysts". If I hear Lou Holtz spit on his microphone one more time, I'm gonna puke.
ESPN's sideline/color spots are annoying. They have missed plays and have put game into small window just to talk with relatives, other coaches, even girl friends. It's obvious they have prepared this material and will show it even at expense of game. What's the point? Isn't the "S" in ESPN "Sports"?
I have a lot of respect for Lou Holtz, but he doesn't belong on my tv set anymore. Perhaps he could cut it on the sidelines for a bit longer, maybe not. But his slurry speech is just too much to take.
