If you have not been to this game in person, you need to put it on your list before you depart the pattern. Truly amazing experience to take in and makes you proud to be an American. My son went to USNA and graduated class of ‘18, we went up to Baltimore/Philly all 4 years and can say it’s one of the greatest game day experiences we’ve seen. Definitely go do this if you can. Go Navy!!
Agree. Wonderful experience. Most of those young men and women do our country proud. Thank your Son Tex Go Army! Beat Navy!
An an adjunct to the game the Pentagon definitely gets into game mode the week of the game, posters exhorting both branches everywhere And the service appropriate greeting is heard all day long Example so you get the idea Go Army!Beat Navy!
Being a USAFA grad, I'm considered an interloper by USMA and USNA. I was there for the first-ever Air Force wins against both Army and Navy (in the 60s). But I readily recognize the importance of this long-standing rivalry between Army and Navy - and remind all that when the game is over, we're all on the same side; the collar brass all says "U.S."
The goal of this game: Sing Second Good luck to these men and these teams. Special day…especially for the seniors.
I never noticed before that they leave their hats on during the national anthem, and some salute during while others don't
When in uniform, military personnel render a salute during the national anthem with their covers (aka “hats”) on.
Pleased Navy won on the football field, but..... BOTH are patriots and winners for this country and I love them both along with the Air Force, Marines and the Coast Guard!
12/10/2022 game: Army leads 7-3 in the early 3rd Q. Navy on the drive. Interesting uniforms by both academies. Navy has NASA on their helmets (left side). Army has a fading color scheme. Navy's option isn't looking too good this afternoon... That could change. It's mostly a defensive ball game thus far.
Raise a glass to all the Servicemen and Servicewomen protecting our country and way of life. And also, and importantly, raise two (or more) glasses to their spouses--it takes one heck of a woman to stick with a man who is frequently deployed at sea (and/or on the ground for the ground forces).
Army's blocking is pretty good, sometimes very good. Navy's D bends but doesn't break. Still a defensive struggle.
Woah!!!!! Army fumbles the snap twice. QB jumped on it the first time. RB got it the second time after a loss of 15 or 20 yards!!!
Army makes a 4th down conversion deep in their own territory. Dangerous move. Navy holds them the next 3 downs and gets the ball back on a punt. As defensive as the play has been, another TD for Navy might put this one away. Good punt return. Navy ball near midfield. Navy wasn't doing much on offense, but all it took was that one 77 yard draw up the middle and the Midshipmen are in control. Army's TD was on a blocked punt. Aside from that long run by Navy, both Ds are holding up well and dominating the game thus far. Early 4th Q. Navy 10 Army 7. Navy ball near midfield.
Navy's O went absolutely nowhere that series. And top it off with a crappy 25 yard punt... All it takes is one big play from either side.
TD Navy! 1st offensive play for Navy in the OT. 1st complete pass of the day for Navy. Wheel route to the RB. Wide open.
