For all the angst and handwringing done here when he left, I think perhaps we should reflect on the bullet we dodged instead. Remember, he didn't have a sparkling, shiny clean history in HS and we still took a chance.

EDIT: There are lots of links if you just google his name. Many of them note the dismissal and new charge comes one lousy day after he settled the case brought against him by his HS girlfriend with a measly $360 fine. Somehow, I suspect the consequences for him in this case will prove to be far more dire.

 

Does not bode well for Morris catching on anywhere in a D 1 program. He has a troubling history.

 

Kind of like the Mack Brown curse. Maybe Coach T can start his own version.

 

Good riddance! He wasn't a team player and shoulda never been at Texas.

 

I recall thinking he was very ungrateful that the University took the publicity hit and gave him a chance. You can debate the merits of that chance our our motivations: 1) Humanitarian? Everyone deserves a 2nd chance? 2) Just win baby?

But, then he leaves. It was no good.

He needs serious help. He didn't value UT's support even though Beard was dismissed. He has a animal instinct towards women. He's a selfish (and that's being nice) as they come. It's all about his base feelings.

 

I want to laugh at that but it's more sad than funny.

 

Some people just cannot learn. The whole world at his feet and he gets involved with something like this. WOW
