Walsh put on a good show today even in the loss.

I have not seen David Ash play, but have seen his highlight reels.

For those who have seen both how would you compare?

Also how would you compare Ash to McCoy (I & 2) and GG?

Ash reminds me a lot of either McCoy. Good arm, not great. Good wheels, not great. But his biggest asset is his ability to make things happen when it looks like nothing is available.

Some of his plays remind me of Colt's TD against ISU in 2007. Lunging around, avoiding tackles, spinning, and then getting the ball to whoever is open.

GG played in a more organized system with NFL type QB arm strength, but hasn't shown much on the level of "making plays happen."

"arm strength" is overrated. I would rather them talk about patient a QB is in the pocket and how well they read defenses and find open receivers.

Ash is taller than Colt and I think he will have some intangibles that Colt did not have due to that. Looking forward to seeing what he can do and hope they open the job up.
