For those of you on this board (not everyone, just a few posters) who questioned Goestenkors' recuiting, consider this:

For the first time in the history of the girls' McDonald's All-America game (first game was 2002), Duke will not be represented. In fact, until this year, Duke had TWO commitments play in EVERY game:

    2002: Mistie Bass, Brooke Smith
    2003: Brittany Hunter, Alison Bales
    2004: Wanisha Smith, Chante Black
    2005: Abby Waner, Carrem Gay
    2006: Joy Cheek, Bridgette Mitchell
    2007: Krystal Thomas, Jasmine Thomas

Now, being a Burger girl doesn't predict future success. But all of these non-freshmen players have had very solid careers, including some form of all-conference recognition.

So while Duke did not have a Burger girl this year, Gail, despite getting a late start at Texas (since she was recruiting for Duke before that), still managed to get a commitment from one.

Thanks Cam. Most of us (not all, of course [IMG] ) know full well how fortunate we are to have Coach G and her staff here at Texas. We are fully aware of her (and the staff's) recruiting prowess and we know that good things are just around the corner.

Thanks for pointing us toward our future - we need all the help we can get! [IMG]

Watch the differences in the post next year. Her and Ashley will make a good tag team together.I also look for one of the freshmam guards to eventually take a spot starting next year.
Energy will be the difference.Remember this post, and pay close attention.
