clean or not? i've seen the outside, and i've seen the pics of the inside. looks neat and all, but because of the decor and age of the hotel it is hard to tell if it feels/looks clean. i'm not that picky, and have wanted to stay there. i've already stayed at san jose. wanna try something different.
Last time I stayed overnight at the Austin Motel was in 1957. Had a keg party in one of the rooms my high school senior year in '62. They may have cleaned the rooms since.

The Austin Hotel is great. All of the rooms have been re-done and are extremely clean. My wife and I stay there sometimes when we are going to Antone's so we do not have to drive all of the way home to Cedar Park. San Jose is great but it will cost you twice as much as The Austin Hotel or The Cock and Balls as we like to call it. (look at the sign) The Link
