Well Fairfields pitchers held our bats at bay as long as they could by not throwing anything we could hit but Hodos 3-RBI triple has turned this into an old-school ***-kicking. 10-0 Horns after 2.5.

Announcers just finally noticing the home plate ump is being very generous to the Fairfield pitchers. Which is BS. The strikezone is the strikezone. We need electronic strikes and balls cuz im sick of these jackasses behind the plate making up their own strikezone. Hey, Fairfield, screw your cinderella story - you wanna play with the big boys? Wow! Pete is really mowing them down. 9 strike outs through 4 innings. Did I mention he’s our 3rd starter in the rotation? Kubichek—our 4th starter—would be the staff ace for more than a few teams in the playoffs.

Pete now has a very handsome 12 strikeouts thru 6. # 1 Ark. lost today and has to play Nebraska again on Monday to stay alive.
Pete totals 13 strikeouts and only 1 earned run (the other run was due to a throwing error). Gordon and crew can close it out and send them packing.
This game has honestly felt like a random mid week game that was just never in doubt and the plan was to get everybody some at bats and field time.
Horns close this one out and win 12-2 to take the regional championship and head to the super regionals. Texas will host and will get either the 3 or the 4 seed from the Gainesville regional.
Ok gang we buzzed thru this regional 3-0 and outscored em 33-5. You guys who complained we did not win the Big XII tourney can settle down now.
Texas has three quality starts from its pitchers, scored ten or more runs every game, and just flat out dominated the regional from start to finish. We will find out tomorrow who is coming to Austin next week for the supers and start to get a feel for what that match up will be like but for tonight Texas can celebrate a regional championship won in style.

Our Super Regional will either be played June 11-13 or June 12-14. Since our opponent is still playing today, does that make it more likely for our Super to be scheduled June 12-14?
