I'm with AFhorn - leaping ability is a lot more improveable than top speed; it's more like endurance in that respect. I also used Air Alert and over two years went from not being able to touch the rim to dunking kickballs (5'8" and cannot palm even a women's basketball).
Why wouldn't Balbay be here for 4 years? Is he going back to Europe? Is he going to the NBA-Developmental League?
They burned the redshirt in requesting the sanctions be applied to the 07-08 season. Balbay has at most 2 seasons left.
The Link Unless he leaves in the next two years, he will have spent four years on campus. If they can count last year as a Redshirt, he may have three more years left. I see him as a Euro player, I don't see NBA in him. At least not to this point in his career.
