This really saddens me. Balzac was one of my favorite posters. Whenever I saw that Shining Homer Simpson, I just had to laugh. Condolences, prayers and rest in peace.
wow. totally shocked. even some posters on here that I have not had "thread discussions" with...I still feel like I know them, like right when I read the first post, I thought of Homer Simpson.

I am glad, for our benefit, that we got to know about this though. Just think of the ones we have lost that we never know about because they may not know anybody else here well enough to inform us. I am thankful to at least get to send respects here and to not have to wonder what happened, etc. No kidding about another one way too soon.
A genuinely funny man who will be missed. Greatly. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and his friends. I thank God that I was able to share in his sense of humor for a while -- he had a true gift for making people feel better. Balzac! RIP.
5 of his last 7 posts were under a thread he started called "Remember Me". That we will Balzac. That we will. He was truly a funny guy. He will be missed.
I dreaded clicking on this thread, and for good reason apparently. He was one of those posters whose style made him a must read; no matter the subject, no matter how much I may have disagreed with his view. I'm really going to miss him. Damn.
