Live Oak Brewing Hefeweizen is an outstanding Austin beer. Chip McElroy has been making it for more than 30 years.

Live Oak, Austin Beerworks, Jester King, Hops and Grain, Independence, Oasis, and Whitestone all produce some really good local brews. And even at that I am leaving out a lot of other top notch producers.

Rahr Brewery of Ft Worth is making some good and very good beers.

Dallas Blonde is a decent beer.

Lawnmower beer by St Arnold’s of Houston is good.

Lawnmower was developed by my BILIL. St. Arnolds used to have a good Bock also but no longer being in TX don't know if it's still produced
