I'm looking to fly out to Brussels for a day or two in the next month or so. I'm kind of a WW2 nut so I was looking at going down to Bastogne and checking out the forests and museums and stuff. Anybody been there? I'll probably take a bus-train-bus combo to get from the airport to Bastogne and then spend the night there before heading back to brussels. thoughts?
Longhorny, the Battle of the Bulge stuff is outside of Bastogne. I don't remember if there is any public transport out to the monument so you might want to think about renting a car (no issues with driving, just remember that the posted cost of gas is a liter so multiply that by 4 to approximate a gallon).
