I was thinking they would be called the "Over-rated Division" who plays in the championship against the "Perpetual Whiners Division." Winner gets a ceremonial burnt couch.

tOSU's denied request for the "jorts" division led to a rash of couch burnings throughout Columbus.

 

If they wanted to go 1950's on us, why not the Ward Cleaver and June Cleaver divisions?

 

I see they hope for a Michigan v. tosu matchup to settle the title. They will play no matter what each year, right? So they could meet up twice.

Also, Nebraska has the easier road it seems.

And, btw, they made a HORRIBLE decision in putting Ohio State and Michigan in different divisions.

You simply CANNOT have an everything-on-the-line rivalry match (TX-OU, for example) when there is the potential for a rematch 10 or 12 days later. Then you have a rivalry where everything is on the line, except that it isn't really on the line because we'll get 'em next week.

For such a wealthy league with deep academic roots, they're not making very good decisions, IMO.

The Commissioner's 14 year old niece created the logo, and his 9 year old grandson came up with the division names.

 

I used to think Atlantic and Coastal were dumb. Wow, this is bad. Should have done East and West like the SEC. Legends and and Leaders - wtf.
