Big 12 first week games

    Looks like the Big 12 redid the format for the schedule guide. At least they made the fonts for the team names bigger. I could do without the team symbol but that’s what hot right now.

    Below is the schedule for the first week of play from Tuesday (first day of games) through Friday.

    Tue, Nov 06
    Duquesne @ TCU—12 noon;
    on HFTV:
    May be a pay site—more info later

    Coppin State @ West Virginia—6 PM

    Nicholls @ Baylor—6 PM

    Wed, Nov 07
    Kansas City @ Kansas—7 PM; on JTV/ESPN+

    Thu, Nov 08
    Saint Francis (PA) @ Baylor—7 PM; on FSSW+

    Duquesne @ Texas—7 PM; on LHN

    Fri, Nov 09
    Arkansas State @ Oklahoma State—11 AM

    Niagara @ Iowa State (Preseason WNIT)—12 Noon; on is a pay site.

    Jacksonville State @ Texas Tech—5:30 PM

    Western Kentucky @ Oklahoma—7 PM; on FSOK+

    wow, whole lotta games on Tuesday, Nov. 06.
    Squat on Big 12 games being televised.
    Props to the SEC with six games on the SEC Network. The ACC Network has three with a lot of games on ESPN+. Of course, these games are just the ones carried by some version of ESPN. Couldn't find the Fox schedule.

    KSU wins their final exhibition game over Pittsburgh State, 65-50. KSU dominated inside.

    OU took a 119-45 win over Northeastern State.
    Shaina Pellington (34 pts, 5-7 3s), Taylor Robertson (21 pts, 7-12 BTA) and Ana Llanusa (17 pts, 3-5 treys) led the way in scoring.

    Wednesday 11/08 results
    Kansas 67 UMKC 55

    Kinda strange to see the Jayhawks with only six in double digit minutes although four others played. Four of the starters (Kopalich, Osorio, Lyons & Helgren) played at least 33 minutes with the fifth, Richardson, logging 27 minutes. Only Wilson off the bench got double digit minutes with 13.

    Wonder why Jessica Washington didn't play? Maybe she is still not fully recovered from her ACL injury from last season.
