    LH,

There is a distinct possibility that the games would be played in a stadium with more than 30,000 seats and indeed equal higher attendance for one game than Third Ward has for all its home games combined. Problem is that all the tickets will have to be free because the people that can afford them already have degrees from or kids in major schools in the US.

So, will they send tortilla-throwing Texas Tech down there for a game? That would be interesting.

I like the idea. I wouldn't want to swap a conference home game with it, but it's pretty cool.

Send the Mormons to play West Virginia in Monterrey. Pure genius.

Sangre, I need to unpack this, and I have a Mexican wife, from Monterrey, where I go multiple times a year.

Want be anybody in the stands. All the people that would want to come to a football game have already moved/entered the U.S.

I think it’s kind if a cool idea. I’d love an excuse to go to Mexico City or Guadalajara to watch the horns. Too bad that won’t happen. Beats Starkville..

especially if they can get the guy who called the 2009 Big 12 game in Spanish. PISTOLAS MCCOY!!!

    My only opinion is...

As long as it doesn't sacrifice a home game for us

Yes. Take away one of 4 or 5 home games. Stupid.

    2003,

The present goal is to have 7 home games a year. I think Chris can pull that off.

    Mexico ain't happening

Even 1 game out of 7 would be way too much lost revenue, not just for the university.

Seems like it was $12-14 million per home game.

There are stadiums in Mexico that can seat huge crowds and lots of Mexicans can pay any asking price. Add in the money on caps and tv and the payout could be enormous

Houston v Tech or BYU are obvious big draws

Haven't the Cowboys played there to huge crowds?
Don't we broadcast games in Spanish?

I saw feature on the Longhorn network about the Spanish-speaking Longhorn broadcasters. What a couple of good guys one of them played football in Mexico, and they are crazy. Longhorn fans.

Just like the Cowboys the Longhorns have a big following in Mexico.
    Makes sense.

I meant it makes sense that people in Mexico would be fans of Cowboys and Longhorns.
