From the AAS: "The Big 12’s three Ps of women’s basketball: Power, Parity … Prestige?"

    http://www.mystatesman.com/news/spo...tball-power-pa/nkPdQ/#3e385ad5.3503856.735662

"According to the Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) used by the NCAA, five of the conference’s 10 teams — Baylor (No. 3), Oklahoma (21), Texas (23), Iowa State (43) and Oklahoma State (45) — rank among the nation’s top 50.

Even more impressive, nine out of the 10 teams have strength of schedules that rank among the top 50."

27-25 WVU. Tech keeps coming within 2-3 pts but can't seem to get the lead. WVU with 16 TOs a minute into the second half. Tech has not been able to take advantage.

Holmes with two banked 3s to put WVU up 35-27 after Tech had pulled into a tie at 27 all. WVU has been able to answer every Tech challenge so far.

Tech can't make a shot and WVU can't miss. 44-31 WVU with 10 to go.

WVU advances with a 59-40 win over Tech. Poor shooting by Tech (26.% from the field; 18.8 % from BTA and 52.9% from the FT line) kept Tech from sweeping WVU for the third time this season.

With the girls championship games scheduled to be shown on FSSW, looks like the OU-WVU and Texas-TCU games will be on TWC 77 in the Austin area. Looks like the Texas-TCU game will also be on TWC 373, Fox College Sports Central.

34-21 OSU over ISU at the half. ISU does usually take a lot of 3pters but Moody is not playing her game. Very little penetration and when she does, she is passing out but her teammates are not converting.

ISU made a run late in the second half, coming back from 20+ but OSU was able to hold on and win 67-58. The Cowgirls will face the winner of the Baylor-KSU game. My guess would be Baylor advances.

I know some people don’t like Coach Mulkey, but she has problems like everyone. Glad that her mother is healthy and back watching games.

Saw Nekia taking part in warmups and practice on a news sport show earlier this morning. It would be awesome to have her back. :hookem:

Davis has an attitude. Surprised she didn't get a foul for shoving Wesemann while going to the FT line.

some beautiful ball movement from Baylor. This game looks like it will be a laugher unless KSU can hit some 3s.

82-70 Baylor but it was a bit closer than Baylor probably expected. KSU had to foul in the last minute when they couldn't score and Baylor able to stretch it out to the final margin. But KSU had it within 8 very late in the game.

Time to switch to the Texas men's game vs KSU.

I am not seeing the WBB tournament listed on the TWC lineup this evening, on any of the Fox Sports channels. I am seeing NHL Hockey. :rolleyes1: I sure hope it's wrong!

34-20 Sooners. Mountaineers probably wondering why they are being called for so many fouls. Refs are calling it pretty tight. But OU is shooting well and WVU is pretty cold. Waiting to see if WVU goes on one of their runs to get close or pull it out in the second half.

so far the seedings have held as #1. #2 and #4 have advanced to the semis. Horns need to break that trend. Let's go, Texas!
