Congrats to Bijan. Very deserving. As longhorn football fans, it’s normal to measure a players performance on the field but this young man was so much more than that. He is just as deserving of a top award off the field. He carried himself very well and was an incredible young man and his representation of The University of Texas is second to none. Can’t say enough about him. An epic role model and leader in many ways.

One of my kids asked me if Beastjan was like Ricky (he was young when Ricky was running). I said Ricky was POWER/SPEED + FINESSE while BR is FINESSE/SPEED + POWER.

I think I got that about right, but I'm open to correction.

Gonna miss Mr Mustardson. I remember an interview when he was in high school and was asked why he was coming to Texas. I don't really remember the answer, but I do remember thinking how focused, intelligent and level headed he seemed. I believed I would really like having him on the team and I really did.

    Congratulations and good luck!!

Ricky rushed for 350 against Rice, but still rushed for 175+ against Nebraska and OU.

Bijan rushed for 250 against Kansas, but only rushed for 35+ against Bama and TCU.

That's the difference. Great players play great in big games.

To be fair, I remember when Ricky rushed for <50 yards against KSU. Although I would still give Ricky the nod.
