I'm a football fan and I consider this time of year to be God's gift to me and I don't care if some mere fans are offended by the numerous games. Every team with a winning record and a few who came close will get to show their wares. Good for them and for those of us who love the game without regard to who is playing. I plan to travel a few hundred miles to see the Frisco Bowl, an hour and a half for the Alamo Bowl (every year and a real treat most of the time) and the Sun Bowl, which is a ten hour drive for me.
I really look forward to seeing Baylor and Tech in their games Both finished strong and have good qbs and running backs.

I buy 8 tickets to the Alamo every year because it is close and has good teams. Hope Colorado is not the choice but will go anyway.

For those of you needing a recharge on your schadenfreude, go to Texags for their take on what happened last night at Kyle.

Delete every bowl game created after 1983. Why '83? Because I said so that's why. The only exception is the Pop-Tarts Bowl since they sacrifice a human pop tart at the end.
You might be on to something with the Pop Tart Bowl, in a serious way.

The Savannah Bananas have basically made "real" minor league baseball irrelevant in terms of ticket sales, fan support, etc. The college football bowls should just take a lesson from this and run with the market.

Frisco Bowl - make contestants from both teams eat Babe's chicken tenders until they puke.
Boca Raton Bowl - cougar fashion show. Extra points for skin as leathery as a couch.
New Orleans Bowl - the possibilities are endless, but they all involve alcohol and/or voodoo, so must be 21 to participate.
Las Vegas Bowl - loser of a challenge has to get married in the little white chapel. To whom you ask? Whoever human resources from SRS Distribution (sponsor) says. Sight unseen.

How many UConn's will there be this year? Schools that lose (in UConn's case $3 million) going to a bowl game?

Unless the Alamo Bowl get Iowa State (they brought 70% of Iowa to play Leach and they all stayed a week), Houston, Nashville, and other "minor bowls" won't have ANY sponsors next year.

Another brilliant strategy by the Indianapolis Idoits

Actually, some interesting match-ups. Aggy and USC should be fun. Quite a culture clash there.... at least on the surface. TCU and Louisiana? This isn't a great TCU team but they significantly improved during the second half of the season. If both fan bases travel some, pre-game food and tailgates would be good at this one. Maybe Dykes can refine the running game. All of the bowl games are now just a side show, though.
