Bowlsby (or Bowelsby)

So I am beginning to understand why @SabreHorn uses the name Bowelsby when referring to the Big12 commissioner. Dude sent a cease and desist letter to ESPN (the Big12 network partner who provides a LOT of money to the conference), accusing them of taking an active role in OU and UT's move to the SEC, as well as encouraging other conferences to poach the Irate 8, and calling it tortious interference.

Assuming the Big12 still exists at renegotiating time, I am sure this action will be most fondly remembered by ESPN and will only cause them to want to pay more per team than they otherwise would have.

If he had this much passion before we left, maybe the conference would be bigger and stronger. It's too late now.

Had he been worth a **** all along, the Big XII might be more than buzzard pickings.

 

His words and actions will likely cost Big 12 dearly!!

He should have done a better job. If so, If so, the B12 might not have ever lost any members to begin with, and he might not be looking at losing his position, unless the "Irate 8" doesn't get absorbed into the remaining P4 conferences. They could be included in the Group of Five. I believe many if not all of them will join other P4 conferences, if they have room.

 

Nothing new. The guy is a moron, who has done about a half-assed a job as is humanly possible. He should have been fired, if not investigated, after the debacle with NeinASS. He made a career decision back then, but was too stupid to know it, and the clock has been ticking all these years.

What has he done? Negotiate TV? No, Deloss did all that for the conference. All Bowelsby has done is back into the pay window and kiss the wrong asses, although he was pretty good at saying, "Yes, Massa" to Dr Boren.

 

I hate it when you beat around the bush like that. Eat a bowl of gumption and tell us what you really think, for once!
